Hold off for now???

Initially I gave 50 Ways to Improve your French a negative rating. As of this date 2/17/2011 the companion to the book which is supposed to be on the web site: [...] is not on the web site. One of the purposes of this book is to improved your pronunciation. That being said the rest of the book is excellent and so I have revised my rating. If pronunciation is key, I would hold off buying until the book is on the teach yourself website, otherwise buy it. This is not a book for beginners but more intermediates. It discusses connaitre vs savior, tricks to remember masculine and feminine nouns, and any number of useful areas of difficulty. My only criticism is in the comparative, it talks about aussi ...que but not autant....que. Perhaps I am quibbling a bit. I think this is a very useful text and thus have revised my review

good for advanced students too

I bought this used with no expectation of an audio website or download. Although it is advertised for beginners and intermediates, I found it very helpful at the advanced level, ie many years of study and some residence in the country. It answered many questions I have had for years:) Well worth it to improve your fluency.
