First 5 at my school since 2003

I used both this book and the barrons book to help review for the statistics test. Comparing both of them, I liked this one a lot better. It explained things in simpler terms, gave you reliable formats for everything, and helped me. This year, my teacher asked me for assistance in explaining hypothesis formats to another teacher, which I got from this book. I would not have survived this class, let alone the AP test without the help.
When I signed up for AP Calc this year, I immediately bought 5 steps to a 5's AP calc book, which once again, I prefer to the Barrons book.

Very Helpful

The book goes step by step, teaching you everything there is to know about statistics. It has two practice exams, that way, one can evaluate their progress. The answers to all of the practice problems are also given to you and the steps to solving each problem are explain efficiently and effectively. I have just taken the 2011-2012 AP Exam and found it very easy, thanks to this book. I strongly recommend it. It's a great study tool and a lot less heavier than the bulky textbooks offered at school.

No Different from Other AP Statistics Books.

Although I am not an AP student, I've been doing statistics for 15 years and found 5 Steps to a 5 AP Statistics to contain most of the information necessary to do well on the AP exam. However, I encourage the readers not to view the book as a self-learning book but rather a cumulative review of everything they have learned about statistics to make sure there are no gaps in the foundation. Additionally, 5 Steps to a 5 AP Statistics is no different from Barron's, Princeton Review, etc. Hence, pick one book out of them all and use it for a review.
What you want to go for in each of these books are the sample tests. Doing as many of them can give the readers a good idea of where they stand and what more they need to understand. Of the three exams in 5 Steps to a 5 AP Statistics, I found the 2nd one extremely hard and unfair to the high school students; it's really more geared towards the graduate level.
I've looked through different editions of 5 Steps to a 5 AP Statistics over the past 5 to 10 years, and there is essentially no difference among them all. The company has gotten lazy by copying and pasting the same content for the next edition after another. You are better off buying a used copy from 3 to 5 years ago.
All in all, what you want to focus the most in 5 Steps to a 5 AP Statistics are the sample exams where you can get them for free online or at the library if a copy of the book exists.
