This book is so much more than its title implies. Gerschel and Polsky not only provide thoughtful phrases to guide professionals through challenging interactions, but they also include rock-solid advice on how to - in their words - "lay the foundation" for communicating change. As a result the book is a comprehensive tool that helps professionals establish a context and environment to ensure their message is heard.

A Practical, User-Focused Guide

One of the frustrations that I have with business books is that I feel that I am reading the same "chapter" over and over--and many times the book is filled with concepts, but nothing practical for me to implement. That isn't the case with the book, "Perfect Phrases for Communicating Change." The authors have created a useful guide that leaders and HR Managers can use to deal with the typical (and not-so-typical) situations that arise when communicating about change. I recommend this book for those who find themselves concerned about how to start a conversation about change or set guidelines about change. This book has been helpful to me in creating change conversations.
